Monthly Staff Feature: Chef Bob

This month, we’d like to shine a little light on Chef Bob and highlight his experience at Sauble Golf. After working in Whistler, British Columbia, and the Blue Mountains, Ontario for a number of years, we’re fortunate that Bob’s career has led him to Sauble Golf.

 
 

When asked what it’s like to work at Bogey’s Pub, his first response was about the team he works with, “Three of us have thirty plus years of experience each. It’s really cooking with love; we take pride in our work.”

 

Bob’s attention to teamwork in the kitchen is one of many assets that accompany his already impressive passion for cooking.

 

Just the other day, he explained with excitement that the Mediterranean Chicken Penne is one of his favourite things to make. With a pesto sauce, grilled veggies, grilled chicken breast, feta cheese, olives, and herbs–– it’s a perfect dish for summer.

 

 

When Bob isn’t in the kitchen serving up delicious food, you might find him out on the course improving his game. As an employee here, Bob takes advantage of a notable perk– free golf!

He proudly explained that since joining the team, his game has improved 10 fold, “My handicap went from 120 to 95 since starting here. That’s a 25 point difference!”
